Sights From Emotional Boston Marathon Candlelight Vigil At Boston Common

BOSTON (WUSA9) -- A vigil is held at the Boston Common to honor the victims of yesterdays attacks.

Many people sang 'Lean on me' and one person can be seen holding a sign which reads, 'Peace Here And Everywhere'.

On Monday, two explosions near the Boston marathon's finish line killed three people and wounded more than 170, according to the Associated Press.

President Obama has called it an act of terrorism. At a press conference on Tuesday the President said, "Any time bombs are used to target innocent civilians it is an act of terror".

President Obama said authorities still do not have a motive or suspect in the bombings, or know whether they were the work of an individual, individuals or an organization.

But he made this promise: "We will find whoever harmed our citizens and we will bring them to justice."
