Rally For Justice For Ethiopian Beating Victim

WASHINGTON, D.C.  (WUSA) -- Hundreds of people, many of them Ethiopian, held candles and cried for the young man whose life ended after a horrific beating.

"He did not deserve to die at this age,' sobbed a little girl. She was grieving the loss of a cousin who died too young. 27 year-old Ali Mohammed's last moments of life were in a pool of blood on a DC street. It's almost more pain than his relatives and friends can endure.

"Ali was never the type to provoke violence," said his sister. "All of these people would not be standing out here if Ali was the type to deserve to die the way he did."

The crowd chanted, "We want justice. We want answers."

Seems like This Could Be a Perfect John Wall Restaurant Endorsement!

Driving down 14th Street the other day I spotted the Great Wall Szechuan House.  The small restaurant is located at 1527 14th Street between the U Street Corridor and Logan Circle, and though I've never been there, it seems like they have a wonderful advertising opportunity with the Wizards stud Rookie point guard John Wall sharing their name.

Do you think John Wall would be a good spokesman for the Great Wall Szechuan House?

Del. Norton called Smith "A far right fringe candidate."
