Man wanted for attack on Green Line train | News
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A man is wanted after Metro Transit police say he cut a man on a Green Line train Tuesday during a failed robbery attempt.
According to a Metro spokesperson, the suspect approached a man who was nodding off on the train. The suspect allegedly had a knife and demanded the victim's personal items.
When the victim resisted those demands, police say the suspect cut the victim in the ear and ran away empty handed. The victim got off at the U Street station.
According to police, the victim did not ask for help or contact the station manager or police and later went to the hospital because of an unrelated problem.
