WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Washington Humane Society (WHS) Humane Law Enforcement team responded to four separate incidents of animal cruelty in 2 days.

The team responded to a white female pit bull type breed who was in critical condition, suffering from severe bite wounds. She was found on the 4300 Block of Gorman Terrace SE. Though the dog was taken to the hospital immediately, she had to euthanized due to the extent of her wounds. The next day, the team responded to a severely injured brindle and white male pit bull type around the  602 46th Place SE. This dog was suffering from several bite wounds as well, officials said.

The same day, the team responded to a report of a cat who had died at the 600 Block of 46th Place SE.  They also found a brown/black tiger striped cat with severe blunt trauma to the face and jaw in the same area.  The cat was euthanized due to the extent of its injuries, officials said.

The WHS is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each of these acts. If you have any information, call (202) 723-5730.
