Margaritas and Mixed-Breeds: It's Cantina Marina's'Yappy Hour'

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - Waterfront views and adoptable dogs, mixed with a margarita or two: it's "Yappy Hour," hosted by the Cantina Marina restaurant, located on the SW waterfront. Set for Monday June 25, 5-8 p.m., this dog-friendly social event will benefit the Washington Animal Rescue League.

Adoptable dogs will attend, and those interested can get  application information along with other animal care info. Cantina Marina will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to the Washington Animal Rescue League.

There will be an information table for meeting and greeting four-legged friends from the League (and two-legged staffers too). Patrons are encouraged to bring along their own dogs for the perfect chance to socialize with other pet lovers and canines.

Cantina Marina is located at 600 Water Street, SW, in Washington, D.C., across from the Arena Stage Theater in the heart of the burgeoning Southwest Waterfront neighborhood. Visit www.cantinamarina.com for more information.

The Washington Animal Rescue League is DC's oldest animal shelter, with a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals who have nowhere else to go. Its facility, located at 71 Oglethorpe St. NW, Washington, D.C.,  has been thoughtfully designed from the animals' point of view, making it one of the world's most humane animal shelters.
