Cheap Beer Adds Salt To Jayson Werth's Wounded Batting Average

Cheap Beer Adds Salt To Jayson Werth's Wounded Batting Average

All season long, Washington National fans have been haunted by the lack of production from the team's big money free agent Jayson Werth.

Well, now they'll actually get rewarded for his failures.

On Sunday, July 24, during the Nats 4 p.m. match-up against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Duffy's Irish Pub, located at 2106 Vermont Avenue in Northwest, will be selling 16-ounce Pabst Blue Ribbon, Budweiser, and Miller High Life beers for whatever Werth's batting average is at the time of the game.

For example, if Werth is batting .220, the price of the beers will be $2.20 a pop.  Fans must wear Nationals gear to be eligible for the deal.

Werth, who is currently batting an anemic .216, was signed this off-season to a 7-year, $126 million contract.
